Tear is indicated in tear deficiency due to impaired lacrimal secretion and functional disorder as a result of topical or systemic diseases, or caused by deficient or incomplete eyelid closure.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION For adults and children Therapy of dry eye syndrome requires an individual dosage regimen. The usual dose for Tear is 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 3 to 5 times per day or as directed by the physician. USE IN PREGNANCY & LACTATION Hypromellose can be used during pregnancy and lactation. PRECAUTIONS Wearers of soft contact lenses should remove their lenses before Hypromellose administration and should wait for at least 15 minutes before they insert them again. If irritation persists or worsens or new signs or symptoms develop then stop treatment and consult a physician. SIDE EFFECTS Common side effects are brief blurred vision or a slight stinging sensation on instilling Hypromellose.
