Livacin-500 tablet is indicated for the treatment of adult (18 years of age) with mild, moderate and severe infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in the condition listed below. Acute maxillary sinusitis due to Streptococcus pneumonia, Hemophilus influenzae, or Moraxella catarrhalis. Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis due to Staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococcus Pneumoniae, Hemophilus influenzae or "Moraxella catarrhalis. Community-acquired pneumoniae, due to Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumonia, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella pneumophila. Acute pyelonephritis caused by Escherichia coli. Uncomplicated and complicated skin and soft tissue infections including abscesses, cellulitis, furuncles, impetigo, pyoderma, wound infections, due to Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Proteus mirabilis or Enterococcus faecalis. Enteric fever by Salmonella typhi or Salmonella paratyphi.

Acute sinusitis: 500 mg once daily for 10 to 14 days. Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis: 500 mg daily for 7 to 14 days. Community-acquired pneumonia: 500 mg daily for enteric fever. 500 mg once daily for 7 to 14 days. Complicated urinary tract infection: 500 mg daily for 7 days. Enteric fever: 500 mg once daily for 7 to 14 days. Uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infection: 500 mg once daily. Chronic prostatitis: 500 mg once daily for 28 days. CONTRAINDICATION: Livacin-500 is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Levofloxacin or other quinolones.
