Optavit Capsule

Indication:
Optavit is an antioxidant vitamin and mineral supplement indicated for age-related eye diseases. It contains Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Lutein, Copper and Zinc to provide nutritional support for eye health. Lutein is a carotenoid concentrated in the macula, while the antioxidant vitamins and minerals help protect cells against oxidative damage. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Optavit is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
Dosage & Administration:
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral. DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION: One capsule, one or two times daily, or as directed by the physician. PRECAUTIONS & WARNINGS: Vitamin C should be used with care in patients with hyperoxaluria. Caution is advised when using Vitamin E in patients taking oral anticoagulants, as it may affect blood clotting. SIDE-EFFECTS: Large doses of Vitamin C may cause diarrhea and other gastrointestinal disturbances. Large doses of Vitamin E may cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, fatigue and weakness. Zinc salts may cause abdominal pain and dyspepsia. USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION: Consult a physician before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
